MAXIMUM IMPACT

Text: John 14:11 – 12

Key Verse: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” – John 14:12KJV

The will of God is for every believer to make maximum impact wherever they find themselves. Every good father wants his children to do greater things than he did, so also our Heavenly Father. The five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13) is directed towards making sure every believer is brought to the place of maximum impact. Sometimes, we need a driving force to push us to maximum impact, Peninnah was the driving force Hannah needed to make maximum impact, and she birthed a great prophet of God. We’re all endowed with gifts that God expects us to make maximum use of but we sometimes leave them fallow and the Lord hates waste. The parable of the talent sheds more light on this, the servant that buried his one talent was regarded as lazy and the talent was taken from him and he was duly punished (Matthew 25: 14-30). In Matthew 5:13-16, believers were likened to salt (sweetener/preservative) and light (illumination); we all know that if salt is left for too long, it becomes useless (the purpose for which it was created isn’t fulfilled). The essence of light is to drive darkness away, but when it is hidden, darkness overcomes it. Likewise, if believers refuse to be useful to the cause they were created for, their essence is wasted and our Father in heaven isn’t glorified. In order to make maximum impacts, do not be conformed to this world Romans 12:2.

PRAYER: With the gifts you have bestowed upon me, Lord, give me grace to make maximum impact in life in Jesus’ name
